Senior Electrical Engineer

Ready for a new experience at KK Wind Solutions as a Senior Electrical Engineer? Contribute to building and growing the Global Electrical Engineering team by executing all strategic tasks alongside other engineers.

The purpose of the position is to secure a realistic project plan and see it through from beginning to end, taking responsibility for both the technical and economic aspects of the project in collaboration with the technical project lead and project manager.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the purpose of APQP4Wind and how the deliveries are interconnected, including the required tools.
  • Collaborate closely with TPL, PM, and stakeholders to ensure timely deliverables.
  • Communicate technical changes to TPL and confirm project scope with customers before starting, with TPL managing customer interactions.
  • Handle all documents according to the project and product folder structure and create a Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Review and secure design and electrical component choices (Purchase specifications) according to KK Wind Solutions standards, electrical standards, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct electrical design calculations.
  • Work closely with the project team during prototype build to ensure prototype function aligns with design and is delivered within the agreed timeline.
  • Prepare routine test specifications, perform tests to ensure compliance with requirements, and generate test reports during the prototype phase.
  • Develop type testing specifications, participate in external acceptance and type testing to ensure compliance with requirements, conduct in-house type testing (where applicable), and prepare type test reports.
  • Support the process team from a product perspective to ensure an efficient introduction to series production.
  • Prepare proposals for optimization and cost reduction.
  • Create or support the creation of all necessary external customer documentation for cabinets.

Our requirements

  • Master's or Graduate degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry with expertise in Design and Development.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant IEC/EN standards (such as IEC 61439, 60204) and UL standards.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Team player with a proactive and positive approach.
  • Strong planning and organizing abilities.
  • Self-starter and self-driven.
  • Willingness to travel to other locations when required.

Additional competencies that will be a plus:
Knowledge of Turbine system and operation (Yawing, pitching), UPS systems and inverters, power converters, grid compliance, EMC requirements, and batteries.

Your location will be our office in Hammel. Travel days per year should be expected.
