Converter Engineering department
In the Converter Engineering department we are responsible for developing, validating and implement new design features together with our Global Technology Service. You will be part of a multicultural department with colleagues located in Denmark, Germany, Poland, India and China.
Besides development projects the Converter Engineering Department also plays a major role in the company’s overall value engineering focus and execute cost out projects on existing products. This is from finding the good idea, do the technical evaluation together with the customer and plan the relevant tests before implementation to the serial production.

Responsibilities
- Ensure the achievement of cost-out targets for KKWS's converters by actively generating and implementing innovative cost-saving ideas.
- Foster the generation of cost-out ideas aimed at reducing expenses across various facets, including Bill of Materials (BOM), production, service, transport, and installation.
- Take the lead in technically evaluating these ideas and contribute valuable input to develop robust business cases.
- Collaborate with the Global Sourcing category manager to drive the localization of electrical items.
- Specify, verify, and validate alternative components that contribute to an overall reduction in the product's total cost.
- Identify and address technical risks, actively participating in tests, PPAP, and FAI’s with customers.
- Uphold the correct technical procedures and policies within the team.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation requirements for specific projects/cost-out ideas are met.
- Provide guidance to the team throughout the implementation process, ensuring a thorough review of completed work.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and project participants in the creation and monitoring of project plans.
Our requirements
- Degree within Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering or relevant fields
- Experience with electrical cabinet design and general electrical components used within electrical design.
- Experience within Technical Project Management and Value Engineering is a plus
- Experience on implementation of cost out on existing product lines is a plus
- Customer oriented
- Fluent in speaking and writing English
- Fresh graduates with relevant internships or academic projects are welcome to apply!
Your location will be our office in Hammel. 15-20 travel days per year should be expected.
